The Most Powerful Protection: The Words of Allah
Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas
These two surahs — together with Surah Al-Ikhlas, known as the Three Quls — were specifically taught by the Prophet ﷺ for protection. He would recite them, blow into his hands, and wipe over his body, especially before sleep.
Ayat al-Kursi
The greatest verse in the Quran. Whoever recites it at night has a protector from Allah, and no devil can come near them until morning.
The Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah
The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever recites these two verses at night, they will suffice him — a beautiful promise of protection and reward.
A Simple Daily Routine for Protection
You do not need anything complicated. A consistent, authentic routine looks like this:
• Recite the morning and evening adhkar daily.
• Recite the Three Quls after the obligatory prayers and before sleep.
• Recite Ayat al-Kursi before sleeping.
• Make the prophetic duas of protection over your children.
• Say “Masha’Allah, Tabarak Allah” when you admire a blessing, to ward off the eye.
